About
Made by someone who has chased the press contact
What it is
Potilion builds a company newsroom the way a journalist would want it built: what you do in one sentence, the facts with dates on them, a person who can be quoted, a picture that can be printed, and a human who answers. Then it publishes the page so that both a reporter on deadline and an AI engine building an answer can read it without guessing.
It has opinions. It will not let you publish without a named contact. It marks up your draft the way a desk editor would. It leaves a visible gap where it could not verify a fact rather than inventing one. Those are not settings.
Who makes it
Potilion is built and run by Michael Kubín, a PR consultant based in the Czech Republic. It started as a tool to fix the thing that ate the most hours in agency work: companies that could not explain what they do, to a journalist or to anyone. The agency side of the product exists because that is where it was tested first.
It is one person's product, on purpose. The stack is boring, the code is readable, and every key lives in an environment variable. If something breaks, the person who fixes it is the person you email.
Where it runs
Your data lives in the EU: the database and files in Ireland, the servers in Dublin. The one exception is the AI provider, which is in the United States and is only ever sent the text you ask it to draft or score. The privacy notice names every provider.
